How I got interested in robotics
thumbAmyWendy&DadwRobot.jpg Today my father had me write a blog about how I got interested in robotics. Truth be told, Dad's big hobby is robots. "I actually had robot's longer than I have had kids," Dad reminded me. So I grew up on robots. I remember having them all my life. A year before we started LEGO my father helped in a highschool "real" robotics team. I remember envying the highschoolers because they got to build robots. Through the highschool program Dad learned of the Junior LEGO Robotics.  We got interested and formed a team with two other homeschool families who we were friends with.  And we've been doing robotics for the last two years. I know that all of the LEGO Mountaineers have really enjoyed it.

The Jr Robotics program looks really good... (Anne Milligan) 1

The Jr Robotics program looks really good, seems like a lot of hard work & fun whilst learning - good to see a team of girls entering & I wish your team well in the competition.

My eldest daughter was really into building\making models with lego & meccano, rigging up batteries\circuits etc whilst growing up (my son showed no interest whatsoever) & cost me a fortune buying it over the years. She is now in 2nd year studying Architecture at University & I'm convinced it all started with LEGO!

Regards

Anne
