Tehachapi Alliance Match

When we got back from the technical presentation, we found out that Tehachapi event organizers had planned something very exciting.  They were going to have us pair up with another team to form an alliance to compete against another pair of teams.  The LEGO Mountaineers were paired up with another team called the Guiding Eagles.  Both teams talked over what we were going to do and decided on a routine.  Faith, two other boys and myself all went up to the competition field.  When the other group started to prepare we found out that both groups were going for the balls!  It was a race for the fifty points.  We all waited breathlessly to see which team would get their ball into the basket first.  Our hearts leaped with every turn of the wheel, it seemed eternity before our robot would get to the basket, but our robot was to slow.  The other team had gotten their ball in the basket first.  We quickly retrieved our robot and let the Guiding Eagles complete their missions.  Faith and I then completed the CD and glasses missions and dropped as many balls as we could into our side of the basket.  Then, just as suddenly as it had started the match ended. It was a lot of fun.
